So we bought a new house about a month ago.  Although we loved our old house it was not in an area that was kid friendly.  At the new house we are in a neighborhood with kids riding their bikes and people walking their dogs all throughout the day. We Love That!!!  Our house, as you can tell by the picture, is a little big fixer upper (where's Chip and Joanna when you need them!?! No worries, we watch enough of them to gain some inspiration, as you will see).   To our knowledge, the house hasn't been lived in an over 3 years.  Needless to say, there are a lot of problems.  We got a great deal on the house because of the issues with the foundation, the electrical, the HVAC, an over grown jungle of a front and back yard...and that's just to name a few.  But since we loved the area so much we were willing to take it on.  The house was built in the 30's so it has a lot of character and the potential to be a great house.  It may take us a few years, but one day this house will be exactly what we've dreamed about.  A house that our kids (ps i'm pregnant with baby #2) can grow up in and have great memories of holidays spent around the fireplace or summer backyard bbq.  Isn't that what it's all for anyways?!

I'll be sharing some of our fixer uppers along the way...starting with the kitchen! (Oh yeah, I don't know how I forgot to mention the kitchen in the list of problems with the house...YIKES!)
