A MORNING WITH JUDE

When you have a second child it’s very rare that you get one on one time with them and especially both parents getting one on one time with that child together. Yesterday I took off work because we were meeting with our contractor about renovating our kitchen...which I can’t wait to share this process with y’all. I had thought about not sending Parker to school and having a family day but the more I thought about it it hit me that Jude never gets to spend time with just Tyler and I so we made it a morning with only Jude. I got up and did my normal routine and took Parker to school. Then I came home and we went to a coffee shop and let Jude run wild. Then we went on a nice walk in the city around the governors mansion. Their garden was beautiful. I posted a lot of pictures on my Insta story of it. After that we went to Chick-fil-A which is his favorite restaurant. We let him play and eat and just had a really good morning with him. He was in such a good mood the entire time! It was really nice to spend time with him and not have him bickering with his brother over not sharing or whatever it may be at that moment. After he got up from his nap we picked up Parker and took them both for ice cream. Then we went and watched Duke University have an open practice since USC is hosting the first and second round of March Madness. The boys were not so much into that but it was still family time and not full of electronics. After that we had to rush home and get ready for Parker's soccer practice. When practice was over I was exhausted so I did something I haven’t done in a while...eat a pizza, and it was amazing!! I savored every bite since I’m on this low-carb diet...oh how I’ve missed it lol. The day turned out perfect! It felt like such a good family day and I wish we could do it more often.
