1.5oz tequila of your choice
1oz freshly squeezed lime juice
.5oz freshly squeezed orange juice
.5oz agave nectar
Margarita Salt or Kosher Salt

1. Cut lime in half and use the juice to rim the edge of a rocks glass and place in salt.
2. Fill glass with ice
3. In a shaker filled with ice combine tequila, lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar and vigorously shake it.
4. Using a strainer pour mixture into rocks glass.

There are 2 important keys to making a great margarita...
1. Using fresh ingredients!  If you have oranges and limes use them over the store bought stuff.
2. It's all in the shake. The more you shake the better it tastes.  If you pour it in the glass and it doesn't have a frothy layer on top then put it back in the shaker and keep going.

The great thing about a margarita is that they are easily customizable.  If you like sweeter margarite use a little more agave nectar.  If you lean more towards tart margarita I would add more lime juice.  If you want to be a little fancier you could add a splash of Grand Marnier to the top which is delicious!
