ICED HONEY LAVENDER LATTE

So apparently I’m on a honey and lavender kick (with the previous cocktail and now this latte). But I’m OK with that because this latte was delicious. Normally during the week I just do coffee with a splash of almond milk and a little bit of sugar...ok maybe a little bit more sugar...but on the weekends when I actually have time to sit down and actually enjoy a coffee I like to spruce it up a little bit.

We have a Nespresso that we got about five years ago and that thing has been one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. It used to be you could only buy the pods through the Nespresso website but now you can get them anywhere (Target, Walmart, Amazon).  Amazon has really great bulk buys on them as well. I’ll share the recipe below. Y’all, this is like going to a local coffee shop and getting one of their specialty drinks but without the $7 price tag on it.

Ingredients
double shot of espresso*
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 oz lavender syrup
1 tbsp. honey
1 cup ice

Take a cup of ice pour the shot of espresso, milk, syrup, and honey in a shaker and shake it really well.  Pour latte into a glass and enjoy! I like to top mine with a little bit more honey because I have a sweet tooth.

*I recommend making the espresso the night before and letting it chill in the refrigerator overnight.  If you don't do overnight you at least need to put the espresso in the refrigerator for 20 minutes before making this drink or it will melt the ice immediately.
