I know some of the above gadgets seem absolutely ridiculous but hear me out. I think especially if you’re living on your own or your a single parent or a parent that spouse/partner/roommate that isn’t home you'll wish you had some of these gadgets to help out.  Another cool thing is that all of the gadgets listed are under $20!!

  1. Meat Claws - talk about making shredding chicken easier.
  2. Lemon Squeezer - probably 75% of people have one of these in their house already but I felt it necessary to include it. Have you ever squeeze a lemon when you have a cut on your hand seriously talk about painful.  That right there is reason enough to have one of these lol.
  3. Bag Clips - I can’t tell you how many bags of cereals/chips/cookies have gone stale because I only do the roll method as in I only roll the bag up and put it back in the box. This $6 purchase could probably end up saving you anywhere from $20 to $50 in a year from you not having to throw away stale products.
  4. Stainless Steel Straws- these eco-friendly straws are so much better for the environment and they don’t give off a metal taste. Plus they come with 2 cleaning brushes so very easy to clean.
  5. Snip N Strain Strainer - I feel like this is a self-explanatory no brainer!
  6. Vegetable Slicer - if you’re anything like me with a knife this is a must have. Talk about making life easier plus your fingers will thank you ha
  7. Baggy Rack - okay I don’t have this one but I found it while I was coming up with this list and this is now in my shopping cart. I can’t even tell you how many times I have tried to pour things into a bag and completely missed or got half of it on the countertop.
  8. Cellphone Stand - i’m sure a lot of people already have something like this but I needed to include it. Trying to hold your phone and read the recipe while you’re cooking with the other hand can get very complicated and this is a way to make your life easier. Plus I love the fact that you can have it charging at the same time.
  9. Silicone Baking Mats - here’s another eco-friendly product. Instead of constantly using parchment or wax paper you can have these reusable mats.
  10. Dish drying Rack Roll Up - this is another product I don’t have currently. I just thought that it was really interesting. It definitely seems perfect for drying vegetables and fruit on after you wash them. Also think about all the space you’re saving on your countertop when your dishes are drying.
