This past week we celebrated Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania with Tyler‘s family. As most of you Mom's know, to say traveling with kids is stressful would be an understatement. There were a lot of statements like 'Are we there yet, what state are we in now, how long are we going to keep driving, I have to go to the bathroom, will it be night before we get there, why will it be night before we get there, why is this trip so long?'...ugh! And all those questions came at us in rapid fire every 45 minutes and this was an 8 hour drive. Anyways, we got there safely and hit the ground running for the holidays. It was a whirl wind trip a d I feel like we didn’t sit down or relax so I guess I wouldn’t call it a vacation, but it was really nice to see our family that we rarely get to see. My birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year and Tyler and my sweet mother-in-law planned a surprise party for me the day before Thanksgiving. And they did an amazing job because I had no clue whatsoever. I have actually never had a party as an adult for my birthday so this was just so amazing. I especially love the fact that the family took time out of their schedule to be there for it. We are so thankful for our great family and just thankful we got to see everyone...but this girl needs a real vacation now lol.
