GRAPEFRUIT & ROSEMARY GIN COCKTAIL

Ingredients
(makes one)

1 1/2oz of fords gin**
half a grapefruit
1 tablespoon of honey
Rosemary simple syrup*
Grapefruit sparkling water

In a shaker, combine juice from grapefruit, honey and rosemary simple syrup and stir. In a glass filled with ice, pour in gin and grapefruit mixture and stir. Top off with grapefruit sparkling water. Enjoy!

*To make the rosemary simple syrup, place 2 cups of water, 1 cup sugar and about 3 Rosemary sprigs into a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Once the sugar has completely dissolved, pour the simple syrup into a measuring cup and set aside until completely cooled.

**The reason I'm using this particular gin is due to how well it pairs with the other favors in this cocktail.  Unlike vodka, gins vary tremendously from one to the next.  Fords gin has a bold & citrusy taste with a juniper-heavy herbaceous flavor.  That type of gin basically taste like Christmas in your mouth ha ha...but seriously, it does!!
