Has anyone else been going stir crazy and maybe drinking just a little bit more than they normally do!?! Yeah, being at home with kids all day, every day and not being able to tell what day of the week it is has taken it’s toll on me. Not only am I the parent but now I’m the teacher of ALL subjects too. That means language arts, social studies, science, music and gym. I’m also his’s a crazy time and I have a newfound respect for stay at home moms or homeschool moms This is not something I ever wanted to do ever or dreamed of doing, it’s just not for me. I’ve always known for my mental health that going to work helped me be a better mom. I know I am like every other parent right now, but I just feel so blah. I’m trying not to let it get to me too much, so I am doing things for myself like going on a walk by myself or just taking a drive. It helps, but I’m definitely looking forward to my life getting back to normal.

To relieve this feeling some, Tyler and I have been enjoying some new cocktail recipes. We like to put the kids to bed and sit out on the porch in the evening and sip on the yummy drinks. Here’s our take on the classic Bee’s Knees.  It's simple to make and delicious to drink. 

1 oz honey bourbon
1 oz gin
1 tbsp. honey
1 juice of a lemon

In a shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients and shake well.  Using a strainer, pour cocktail in glass.  Enjoy!
